Cotton drawstring bags can form part of a gift or product presentation. Choosing the correct size starts with the item inside, including any box, protective wrap or insert. Leave enough room for the fabric to gather at the top without pressing against the product.
Measure the complete item
Measure width, height and depth after adding any inner packaging. A pouch is usually photographed flat; a three-dimensional product takes up some of that apparent width when inserted. This is why matching the product width directly to the listed pouch width can result in a poor fit.
For a small gift set, arrange the contents exactly as they will be packed. Loose items may shift, while a rigid inner box fixes the shape. Test the complete combination rather than each component separately.
Allow space for the drawstring closure
The upper part of the bag needs room to gather. A tall box that reaches the opening may stop the cords from closing neatly. Leave clearance above the product and check that the bag opens easily again.

Keep presentation and protection separate
A cotton pouch can organise and present a gift, but do not assume it replaces cushioning, a sealed container or a protective shipping box. Fragile, sharp or leak-prone contents may need separate inner protection. Confirm any special packaging requirement before selecting a bag.
Place important artwork where it remains visible when the pouch is filled and the top is gathered. A mockup should reflect the selected model rather than an unrelated tote shape.
