A custom tote bag price only makes sense alongside the order details. A price for 1,000 natural-coloured bags with one print colour cannot tell you what 100 black bags with a four-colour design will cost.
For a concrete starting point, our natural 220 g/m² flat tote costs €1.75 per bag at 1,000 bags with one-colour printing. The same model with the same print-colour selection costs €4.10 per bag at 50 bags. Both prices include delivery and exclude VAT on our Ireland product page.

1. Compare the same bag at different quantities
Order quantity has a clear effect on the unit price. Before changing your design or choosing another model, check the price for the number of bags you actually need.
These prices are for the natural 38 × 42 cm flat cotton tote, 220 g/m², with one-colour printing:

Moving from 100 to 300 bags reduces the unit price by €0.85, but increases the total order cost from €280 to €585. If you can use the extra bags across several events, that may be worthwhile. If you need only 100, the lower total spend may matter more than the lowest unit price.

2. Bag construction and colour change the price
Two bags can have the same fabric weight and still carry different prices. The shape, dimensions and bag colour all matter when comparing products.
Here are three examples at 1,000 bags with one-colour printing, all in 220 g/m² cotton:

The black flat tote is €0.60 more per bag than the natural flat model at this quantity. Choosing the natural gusseted model adds €0.60 per bag, or €600 across 1,000 bags, compared with the natural flat tote.
A gusseted tote adds depth for bulkier contents. Choose it when that extra room serves a purpose, such as carrying boxed products or a fuller gift pack. A flat tote may already suit documents and smaller giveaways.

Fabric weight is another specification to compare across ranges. It describes the mass of one square metre of fabric, rather than the finished bag’s weight or carrying capacity. Choose the feel and construction you need before comparing prices between lighter and heavier models.
3. Separate bag colour from print colours
“Natural” or “black” describes the bag itself. “One colour” or “four colours” describes the selected printing option. Bag colour and print colours are separate choices.

If your brand has an approved one-colour version of its logo, it is worth comparing that option with the full design. At 1,000 bags, moving from two print colours to one reduces this example’s total by €150.
Keep the design readable and recognisable. A four-colour selection is not automatically a quotation for photographic printing, gradients or every artwork type. Send your file so the printing method and suitable colour count can be confirmed. If you want printing on both sides or another position, include that in the request rather than assuming it is covered by the displayed price.
4. Check what the price includes
The product pages used here state “Prices include delivery. VAT excluded.” That gives you a useful basis for budgeting, provided you are comparing the same product, quantity and print option.
Our examples come from the Ireland market pages. Confirm the applicable price for your delivery address, particularly if you need a different destination or a specific deadline. These comparisons do not include a quoted rush service or additional print position.
When comparing offers, keep this short checklist beside the price:
- Exact bag model, colour, size and fabric weight.
- Order quantity and total cost, not just the price per bag.
- Number of print colours, sides and positions.
- Delivery destination and whether delivery is included.
- VAT treatment and any requested extras.
- Artwork approval and the required delivery date.
This makes it easier to see whether a lower price covers the same order.
5. Get a price for your actual order
Start with one preferred bag and the quantity you need. Add your artwork, delivery country and postcode, and the date you need the bags. If you are deciding between two options, ask for a comparison: for example, 100 versus 300 bags, or one print colour versus two.
That is more useful than asking for the cheapest tote in the range. You can compare a bag that fits your contents and brand, with a delivery schedule confirmed for your order.

Is 1,000 bags the minimum order?

Can I calculate a two-sided print by doubling the price?
No. The displayed unit price includes the bag, so doubling it would also count the bag twice. Request a quotation for the exact front-and-back design instead.
