Printed cotton tote bags for campaigns – long handles for carrying
Printed cotton tote bags for campaigns brought a large initial and smaller motifs together in this election project. We printed 300 bags for Oikeudenmukaisemman Suomen puolesta ry in March 2019. The natural cotton provided a light background for green and pale pink artwork. Two ink colours were printed on one side of each bag. Long handles allowed the tote bag to be carried over the shoulder.
Repeating a motif at different sizes
The dark green G is the strongest element on the front. Pale pink follows parts of its shape, giving the letter a softer edge against the natural fabric. Smaller curved motifs near the upper right and lower left echo the central initial.
A thin, open frame connects the layout. The website address sits along the lower edge, apart from the large letter and the smaller motifs. The two colours give these different-sized elements a shared appearance without covering the whole surface.
A natural cotton bag with long handles
The project used a 38 × 42 cm tote bag made from 140 g/m² cotton. The natural fabric remains visible between the printed elements and inside the open lettering, making the bag colour part of the finished appearance.
The order brings the same campaign identity to a large initial and to smaller details that invite a closer look. The frame, website address and curved motifs use different amounts of space, while the green and pale pink inks keep them connected.
