In March 2019, we printed 300 branded cotton tote bags for an election campaign. The green and pale pink artwork centred on a large letter G, surrounded by smaller motifs and a fine frame.
The order came from Oikeudenmukaisemman Suomen puolesta ry and used two ink colours on one side of each bag. The same colours run through the large initial, the smaller details and the frame.
The dark green initial is the strongest element on the front. Pale pink follows parts of its shape, giving the large letter a softer edge against the natural cotton.
The two inks have different roles. Green defines the main letter and fine lines, while pink adds detail that is easier to see at close range.
Small curved motifs appear near the upper right and lower left corners. They echo the large central letter without filling the whole surface of the bag.
A thin, open frame connects the layout visually. The small website address sits along the bottom edge of the design, away from the large initial and the clusters of motifs.
The project used a 38 × 42 cm tote made from 140 g/m² cotton, with long handles for shoulder carrying. Its natural fabric remains visible between the printed elements and inside the open parts of the lettering.
For your own design, this bag provides a light background for a logo or initial, with room for smaller details around it.
