Printed cotton tote bags for music schools – long handles for carrying

Printed cotton tote bags for music schools were made for Ylivieskan seudun musiikkiopisto in Finland. The order comprised 500 royal blue bags. White printing combined the circular YSMO mark with the name Musky ry. The bags measured 38 × 42 cm and had long handles. One ink colour gave the school design a consistent treatment against the blue fabric.

A useful format for music school activities

The 38 × 42 cm format provides space for lightweight documents and sheet music. Long handles allow shoulder carrying, leaving the flat front available for the school identity. The broad panel accommodates the school mark without wrapping it around a side seam.

The circular mark and smaller lettering were placed together in the lower part of the front. Using white for both elements makes them read as one design. The blue cotton supplies the background, so there is no need for an additional printed colour behind the logo.

Royal blue cotton with a clear school identity

The strong fabric colour and simple white print are the defining combination in this project. The design remains separate from the upper part of the bag, with unprinted cloth around it. That gives the school and association marks a clear area of their own.

The linked current model uses royal blue 140 g/m² cotton with long handles. Its colour matches this historical example. The school project pairs that strong blue background with a single white design, keeping the YSMO mark and Musky ry. name together across the 500-bag order.
