In June 2022, we printed 50 yellow cotton tote bags for IZUM, the Vihasoo youth organisation. Its work includes youth camps, and the bag carries its own logo and a set of themed hashtags.
The order used one print colour on one side. White lettering sits against the yellow cotton, with the logo across the top of the design and four hashtags running vertically beneath it.
The IZUM name appears beside a small graphic mark. The logo has a horizontal position, giving the reader a starting point before the direction of the lettering changes below.
The same white colour connects the name, symbol and hashtags. There is no additional coloured background behind the words; the yellow bag itself fills the space around them.
The four handwritten-style lines make use of the height of the bag. Their vertical arrangement gives the design a different rhythm from a logo with several ordinary lines of text underneath.
Each hashtag has its own space. Together, they form the largest part of the print, while the organisation’s name remains clearly separate above them.
The bag combines a flat cotton body with long handles for shoulder carrying. The printed area stays below the top seam, with yellow fabric visible around the edges.
For a youth or camp organisation developing its own design, this project offers a simple example of combining a recognisable name with a playful arrangement of words.
