For an Albana order in March 2019, we printed 100 natural cotton tote bags with the same silhouette design. The order was divided into two versions: 50 bags with pink printing and 50 with blue printing.
Each photographed design uses one ink colour. The cotton itself stays natural in both versions, making it easy to see how a change of print colour alters the appearance of the same artwork.
The silhouette fills much of the bag front, from the high hair shape down to the shoulders. Its outline stays the same in both photographs. Pink gives one version a bright appearance, while blue gives the other a cooler tone.
Keeping the shape unchanged makes the two versions recognisable as part of the same design. There is no need to add another graphic to show the difference between them.
The Albana name appears near the bottom of the silhouette. The lettering is left open within the printed shape, allowing the natural fabric to show through.
This gives the name contrast without adding a second ink colour to the pictured design. The surrounding cotton also remains visible along the sides and above the silhouette.
Both versions use the natural 140 g/m² cotton tote measuring 38 × 42 cm, with long handles for shoulder carrying. The bag model and fabric colour remain the same across the order.
