Corporate tote bags

For Laine Intellectual Property, a patent and intellectual property services business, we printed 100 white cotton tote bags in March 2019. The design combined a curved graphic symbol, the company name and a short description of its services.

The logo brings green and turquoise shapes together above the lettering. Below it, LAINE appears in green capitals, followed by the smaller words Intellectual Property in grey.

Corporate tote bags - a multicolour company identity on white cotton.

Three parts of one company identity

The symbol, name and service description form a vertical arrangement. Each has its own position, making the relationship between the elements easy to follow.

The curved symbol is broader than the small descriptive line. Different sizes help the three parts remain distinct, even though they share the same area on the front of the bag.

Several colours in a compact design

The order combined CMYK printing with one additional print colour. This differs from a simple single-colour wordmark and reflects the more varied artwork used for this project.

On the photographed bag, the green and turquoise shapes remain distinguishable against the white fabric. The grey service description has a quieter presence beneath the company name.

A white background for the complete logo

The design sits on the lower half of the bag, with unprinted cotton above and around it. The long handles allow the bag to be carried over the shoulder.

For a company logo with several elements, this project shows how colour, size and spacing can bring the complete identity onto one cotton bag.
